Jacob Dale Wright, age 18, died Monday, November 14, 2016. Born in Cleveland County on September 8, 1998 he was the son of William Dale and Janice Lee Ivie Wright of Shelby. Jacob was a member of Patterson Springs Baptist Church. He was a 2016 Crest High graduate and was to start his training in the spring to be a welder. Jacob worked with his father and was co-owner of Dale's Lawncare. He loved being outdoors, riding his four wheeler and going hunting and fishing and camo was his choice of clothing. Jacob is preceded in death by his grandparents, W. D and Stella Allen Wright, and Jack Ivie; and two uncles, Dennis Wright and Brian Long.

In addition to his parents, Jacob is survived by his grandmother, Jennie Borders Ivie of Shelby; two sisters, Heather Wright and Ivie Wright both of Shelby; and Wesley Nodine whom he loved like a brother; Jacob was a loving uncle to Kyndall Worthy, Gracin Worthy, Bentley Worthy, and Brayden Nodine; his best friends, Jonathan Long and Zach Whisnant both of Shelby; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Patterson Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Waters and Jerome Cash officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 am until 1:00 am in the sanctuary. Anyone wishing to wear camo to the service may do so.
