James Amiel Patterson

James Amiel Patterson, 67, of 321 Count Gravel Road, passed away Sunday, February 11th, 2018, at his residence.

Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Sandy Gay Patterson and the son of the late Floyd Patterson and Jessie Matril Cobb Patterson. Mr. Patterson worked in textiles and was a member of Cherokee Falls Missionary Fellowship Church.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Patterson is survived by one daughter, Chrystal Sewell and husband, Jason; two grandchildren, Chloe Harwick and husband, Chris, and Jacey Sewell, and one great-grandchild on the way; one brother, Leon Patterson and wife, Susan; and nieces and nephews, Iris Cobb and husband, Billy Joe, Mitchell Byars and wife, Lori, Pernell Byars and wife, Terri, Scott Byars and wife, Lorie, and Josh Patterson and wife, Natalie.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Velda Byars.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 14th, 2018, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Cherokee Falls Missionary Fellowship Church, 203 First Street, Blacksburg, SC 29702. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gregg Martin, Rev. Willie Lanier, and Rev. Wayne Warren officiating. Interment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Brian Wilson, Tony Crawford, Keith Crawford, Chris Cobb, Jonathan Cobb, and Larry Allen will serve as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to Cherokee Falls Missioinary Fellowship Church, 203 First Street, Blacksburg, SC 29702.

The family will be at the residence his daughter, Jason and Chrystal Sewell, 325 Count Gravel Road, Blacksburg, SC.
