Mr. James “Billy” William Blanton, age 43 of Shelby, NC passed away November 6, 2014 at his residence.  Graveside services will be held 3:30 pm Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Cleveland Memorial Park, Shelby.  A visitation will be held 2:00 – 3:00 pm Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Cleveland Funeral Services and Crematory Chapel.

   Born November 16, 1970 in Shelby, NC, Billy was the son of Jerry Wayne and Betty Jane (Canipe) Blanton, a son, Lucas Blanton of Shelby, NC, a brother, Arnold Blanton of Shelby, NC and his former wife, Carmen Blanton of Shelby, NC and was preceded in death by a special Aunt, Marjorie White.  

   Billy graduated from Burns High School in 1989.  After graduation, he attended college at Cleveland Community College where he earned a degree in Machining Technology.  He later worked for Curtis Wright Controls from 1999 until present.  Billy enjoyed fishing and spending time with his son playing video games.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Life Enrichment Center 110 Life Enrichment Blvd, Shelby, NC 28150.
