James Bowen Webber, age 84, passed away Monday April 26, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Cleveland County on June 21, 1937 he was the son of the late James Rayford and Pauline Bowen Webber. In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his sister, Janis Bernard. Jimmy will be remembered for his love for family, his passion for work and trips to the beach. He was a proud charter member and retired from No. 3 Fire Department.

James is survived by his wife of 64 years, Veleria Revels Webber, his children, Tim Webber (Fay), David Webber (Kathy), Chris Webber (Tina), eight grandchildren, Danny, Brandon, Jenna, Justin, Caleb, Clay, Curry, and Caroline Webber. James is also survived by a great granddaughter, Juniper Webber and two step great-grandchildren Atlas and Persephone.

A celebration of life will be held 2:00 PM Friday, April 29, 2022 at The Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Dr. Bryan Gleason and Pastor Russ Bradley officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
