James Cleveland “Cleve’ Westberry, Sr., age 71, of Ellenboro, NC, died Sunday, August 4, 2013 at his residence.
Cleve was born January 25, 1942 in Wayne County, Georgia to the late Elzie Edward Westberry and Lilla Belle Watson Westberry who resides in Jesup, GA. He worked for the Amelia Island Plantation Resort for twenty-seven years before his retirement and also had worked as a Dock Master at Fernandina Beach, Florida.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Betty Westberry; two sons, Jody Brooks and James Westberry, Jr. both of Fernandina Beach; two daughters, Jennifer Boswell and husband, Shawn and Michelle Hackett and husband, Billy all of Jacksonville, FL.; two sisters, Lillian Brown of Tybee Island, GA and Gladys Johnson of Jesup, GA; two brothers, Edward Westberry and Aubry Westberry both of Jesup. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Wesley Brooks, Ariel Brooks, Kyle Higginbotham, Samantha Hackett and a great-grandchild, Dixie Mae Higginbotham.
A memorial service is planned for a later date.
