James Darrall "Fred" Kirby of 545 Bear Creek Road passed away on Saturday December 10, 2022 at his residence.

Born in Gaffney, SC, he was the son of the late James Earl Kirby and Peggy Motts Kirby. He formerly worked as an electrician foreman. He loved football, especially the SC Gamecocks and Gaffney Indians (which was his alumni). He was an avid fan of Nascar driver Jeff Gordon, He loved his children and grandchildren.

Surviving Mr. Kirby are his children, Star Evans (Ray) of Grover, NC, Derek Kirby of Blacksburg, SC, Daryl-Brooke Kirby of Blacksburg SC, James Kirby of Blacksburg, SC. He is also survived by four grandchildren Canyon and Paisley Evans of Grover, NC and Skylar and Kade Kirby of Gaffney, SC.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Kirby was preceded in death by his Life Companion Candy Owens Kirby and his grandparents.

Family visitation will be Wednesday December 14th, 2022 from 6:00pm- 8:00pm at Gordon Mortuary located at 400 W. Cherokee Street Blacksburg, SC 29702. .

The family will be at the home of Star and Ray Evans 109 Little Creek Drive, Grover, NC 28073
