James Delmer Goforth
James Delmer Goforth, 73, 528 Holly Ridge Road, Blacksburg, SC, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, October 21, 2015, at home surrounded by family. Born in Lenoir, NC, he is the husband of Brenda Crocker Goforth of the home and the son of the late William Harvey and Lena Hardin Goforth. He was a member of Love Valley Baptist Church. He was retired from J & L Insulation and was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea.
In addition to his wife, Brenda, he is survived by two daughters - Holly Goforth of the home and Toni Camp and husband, Kenny, of Kings Mountain, NC; one grandson - Bradley Camp, Kings Mountain, NC; one granddaughter - Casey Camp, Kings Mountain, NC; one great-granddaughter - Elin Camp, Kings Mountain, NC; one brother - Ray Goforth of Grover, NC; and two sisters - Reba Cochran and husband, Max, of Grover, NC, and Donna Tesner and husband, Mark, of Polkville, NC. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother - Vernon Goforth.
The family would like to say a special "thank you" to Gentiva Hospice and to Nurse Karen Purviance for her care and support.
A Celebration Of Life Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, October 24, 2015, 1:00 PM, at White Columns Funeral Service, with Pastor Barry Philbeck officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. At other times, they will be at the home.
