James Eric Wright, age 51, resident of Kings Mountain, NC went to be with the Lord on August 7, 2015 at Carolina's Medical Center, Charlotte, NC. He was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late James Albert Wright. He was also preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Edgar & Lillian Hardin Tucker. Eric graduated from Kings Mountain High School in 1982 and graduated from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in 1987. He was employed in funeral service with Harris Funeral Home for over 28 years. Eric was a member of Anthony Grove Baptist Church, Crouse, NC where he served in many capacities including, worship leader, soloist, praise team, drama team, member of the Church council and choir. His creativity and dedication was evident in his leadership of the Special Events Team. He always made the special events something to remember. He was instrumental in coordinating Easter and Christmas productions, Homecomings, Mother-Daughter Banquets, Pastor and Staff Appreciation, Hallow-Him Fall Festival, and Sunday and Wednesday evening Worship Services. He was a talented actor who appeared in several productions with the Kings Mountain and Shelby Little Theaters. In his life's work as a funeral director, he was beyond gifted with assisting families with compassion and unconditional love. He used his God given talents to comfort many families with his beautiful voice in songs of praise. He enjoyed music, singing, fishing, cooking, catering, ministering, and always putting others before himself. He was a wonderful, loving, and Christ-like man who will be missed by his family, friends, and the entire community.
