James Franklin Earl McNeely
Mr. James Franklin Earl McNeely, 84 of 2332 Curt Ledford Road, passed away September 15, 2013 at the Brian Center in Brevard.

Born June 17, 1929 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Dock McNeely, Sr. and Sarah McNeely.  He was retired from Hickory Springs as a fixer and also from his farming.  He was a member of Living Water Baptist
Church and an avid Tar Heel fan. 

Mr. McNeely was preceded in death by the love of his life, Edith Elizabeth Bradshaw McNeely, on June 12, 2013 after 64 years of marriage.  He is also preceded in death by five brothers, Coleman McNeely, Roy McNeely, Forrest McNeely, Dock McNeely, Jr., and J.D. McNeely; twin sister Sarah Ada Muriel Smith; and two sisters, Mary Lois Mosteller and Eva Mae Lovelace.

Survivors include two sons, Wayne McNeely of Lawndale and Charles McNeely and wife, Denise of Hickory; daughter, Diane Church and husband, Rick of Hickory; eight grandchildren, Kevin Canipe, Christie Davis, Michael McNeely,
Jessica McNeely, Sarah McNeely, Matthew McNeely, Tissy Berry and Monica Hicks and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 5:00 to 7:30 pm, Wednesday, at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston

Funeral Service: 3:00 pm, Thursday, at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel, Fallston

Officiating: Rev. Chuck Mullis & Rev. Joel Frye

Burial: Will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston
