James Franklin Hamrick, age 71, of E. Church Street, died October 7, 2013 at Caromont Regional Medical Center . Jim was born October 22, 1941 in Cleveland County a son of the late Paul E. Hamrick and Alene Scism Camp. He was retired from Carolina Freight Carriers as a mechanic and attended Second Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Max Hamrick.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda R. Hamrick, step-mother, Doris Hamrick of Fallston, a son Rick Hamrick (Renee) of Cherryville, daughter Kim Hamrick of Cherryville, Grandson Austin Richard Hamrick of Cherryville, three brothers, Phil Camp (Anita) of Cherryville, Benny Hamrick of Shelby, Doug Hamrick (Karen), of Shelby, two sisters, Paula Jones (Marty) of Shelby and Pat Beam (Barney) of Fallston.
Graveside services will be October 9, 2013 at 2:00 PM at City Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Lail officiating. Burial will follow the service. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Carpenter’s Funeral and Cremation Services. |
