James Hatcher Hamrick, Sr.
 James Hatcher Hamrick, Sr., 93, entered into rest on August 13, 2014.
 
James was born on June 15, 1921 in Blacksburg, South Carolina.  He was a graduate of Blacksburg High School. After graduating James proudly served his country in the United States Marines in World War II during the Pacific Theater.  He then worked as a Dye Supervisor for Minette Mills for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed working with all types of plants in the nursery.
 
His son, John M. Hamrick; his parents, Rufus Hatcher Hamrick and Annie Louis Neal Hamrick; and siblings, Carl Edward Hamrick, Calvin Neal Hamrick, Kenneth Lee Hamrick, Hellen Parker, and Geneva E. Roark preceded him in death.
 
His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Claire Anne Crawford (Joe), Jama M. Wilson, James H. Hamrick, Jr. (Joyce); grandchildren, Saleha A. Wowaka, Joseph C. Crawford, James J. Hamrick, Dustin Moss, Haley Wilson, and his eight great-grandchildren.
 
Visitation will be Friday, August 15, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 15, 2014 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at White Columns Funeral Home in Blacksburg, South Carolina. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Holly Ridge Baptist Church, with Rev. Tracy Sullens officiating.  Interment will follow in Mount Paran Baptist Church Cemetery.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to The Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida 32256.
