James Herbert “Hub” Jones
 James Herbert “Hub” Jones, 75, of 2466 Old Gaffney Road, died Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late RH and Wilma Proctor Jones. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a member of First Wesleyan Church in Shelby.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Molly Foster and her husband Coell; and two brother-in-laws, Marvin Williams and Tom Nelson.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jeanette Watkins Jones of the home; two sons, Harry Jones, Richard Jones and wife Anitra; two daughters, Kathy Herron and husband Donnie, Terri McCraw and husband Ronald all of Shelby; three sisters, Evelyn Williams of Shelby, Peggy Hamrick of North Augusta, SC and Sibil Nelson of Blythewood, SC; two brothers, Harry Jones of Henderson, NV and Dean Jones of Travelers Rest, SC; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm, Saturday at First Wesleyan Church in Shelby.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends, 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm prior to the service Saturday at the church.

CLERGY: Rev. Dean Lavander

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow at Cleveland Memorial Park
