James "Jim" Allen Ledford, age 72, died Tuesday October 6, 2015 at his home. Born in Cleveland County on March 10, 1943 he was the son of the late Thurmon Bryson and Bertha Waters Ledford. Jim was a former member of Flint Hill Baptist Church, he served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War, and he drove for Turner Trucking for a number of years. Jim was a former Mason at Friendship Lodge #388 AF&AM in Boiling Springs. In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Kay Ledford; three brothers, Willie Ledford, Bob Ledford and Dennis Ledford and a sister, Shirley Hale.

Jim is survived by a daughter, LaDonna Ledford Culbertson and George Hays III of Shelby; step daughter, Lynn Anthony Bowling of Boiling Springs; a brother, Tommy Ledford and wife Betty of Boiling Springs; a sister, Lib Lovelace and husband Fred of Grover; and two grandsons, Landon Culbertson and Austin Culbertson.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday October 10, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends following the service.
