James "Jim" Kiser, age 79, of Kings Mountain, NC died February 9, 2015 at home. He was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Clay Kiser and Iva Marie Farris Kiser. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn Hayes Kiser and brother, Ralph Kiser. He formerly worked in the textile industry and a machine shop. He was a member of Penley's Chapel Church, Kings Mountain where he served as an Elder. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed dirt track car races, going to the Patrick Senior Center, eating and fellowship at Rhonda's Kitchen, Grover, NC. He was an avid Tarheel fan.

SURVIVORS: Daughter: Susan Hammitt and husband Jeff, Shelby, NC; Grandchildren: Megan, Madeline, Mark, and Kevin.

Sisters: Mary Essie Kiser Wood, Bessemer City, NC; Shirley Kiser Pearson, Kings Mtn. NC; His Dog: Sadie.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Penley's Chapel Church, Thursday, February 12, 2015; 2:00 P.M. Rev. Doug Allen, officiating.

VISITATION: 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 12, 2015 prior to the service in the Sanctuary of Penley's Chapel Church.

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
