| James “Jim” Robert McIntyre, 66, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Hospice Cleveland County Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Daniel Woodrow and Bentha Mozelle Hoyle McIntyre. Jim was a retired driver for Carolina Freight. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
Mr. McIntyre is survived by his wife Patricia Queen McIntyre; sons, Michael McIntyre and wife Jody of Chapel Hill, NC, Marc McIntyre and wife Shannon of Wilson, NC, Jon McIntyre of Rocky Mount, NC; step-daughters, Angela Hammond Turner and husband Richard of Simpsonville, SC, Dana Hammond Hamrick and husband Michael of Shelby, NC; sister, Sandra Kay Jenkins of Shelby, NC; brother, Joseph Daniel McIntyre of Grants Pass, OR; grandchildren, Megan McIntyre, Benjamin McIntyre, Brendan McIntyre, Jenna McIntyre, Maryn McIntyre; step-grandchildren, Richard Hayden Turner and Molly Elisabeth Turner – both of Simpsonville, SC; Caroline Elyse Hamrick and Erin Nicole Hamrick – both of Shelby.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
