James "Jim" S. Champion, age 93, resident of Kings Mountain, NC died March 2, 2015 at Kings Mountain Hospital. He was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Leroy Champion and Bessie Hamrick Champion. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, P.A. Champion and C. A. Champion. He was an active member of First Baptist Church, Kings Mtn. NC and retired from Southern Bell after 37 years of service.

SURVIVORS: Wife of 67 years: Dorothy "Dot" Costner Champion, Kings Mtn. NC

Several Nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL SERVICE: First Baptist Church, Thursday, March 5, 2015

3:00 P.M. Dr. John Sloan and Rev. Scott Whitener, officiating.

VISITATION: 2:00 - 3:00 P.M. Thursday, March 5, 2015 prior the service in the Stained Glass Room of First Baptist Church.
