James Leon Patterson, 77, of 968 Sloan Rd, Inman ,passed away on Thursday, October 26th, 2023, at his residence.

Born in Gaffney, SC, he was the son of Otis Lee and Bertha Lanier Patterson. He lived in Shelby, NC until he moved to Inman due to declining health. Leon worked as a CNA for 30-plus years at White Oak Manor. He was the CNA of the year in 2004.

Surviving Mr. Patterson are his niece, Melissa P. Hall, of Inman and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Patterson was preceded in death by his sister, Zubie Patterson, his nephew, Albert "Rocky" Patterson, and his niece, Sheila Patterson Manley.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 29th, 2023, from 2:00 - 3:00 pm at Christian Fellowship Church, 615 Peeler Road, Blacksburg, SC . Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Willie Lanier and Rev. Chad Ramsey officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Matthew West, Jessie Gore, Jerry "Chopper" Lanier, Miguel Cleto, Dylan Ramsey, and Billy Cobb will serve as pallbearers.

The family will be at the residence.
