James Richard “Dick” Nann, age 83 died Wednesday February 5, 2014 at his home.  Born in Syracuse New York on March 25, 1930, he was the son of the late Karl Francis and Mildred Hart Nann. Dick was a very active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and his community. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was a Regional Administrative Director for NCR Corporation for 38 years before retiring. He was a collector of trains, played golf, fished and enjoyed boating. He loved for his family to come for visits and his dog.   In addition to his parents, Dick is preceded in death by a sister, Patricia McClean; and a brother, Karl Nann.

Dick is survived by his wife of 59 years, Maxine Jones Nann; two sons, Michael Nann and wife Michelle of Chicago IL. and Thomas Nann and wife Suszanne of Columbus Ohio; a sister, Christine Bart of Rome NY; six grandchildren, Christopher Nann, Patrick Nann, Maria Duvuvuei and husband Nathaniel, Kaitlin Nann, James Nann, and Mason Nann; and several nieces and nephews.  

Funeral mass will be held on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 11:00am at St. Mary Help of Christians Parish with Father Michael Kottar celebrating the mass. Rosary will be held at 4:00pm on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the Chapel of Cecil M Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with a visitation immediately following until 6:00pm.  Military honors will follow the visitation.  A private burial will be at a later date.

Memorials can be made to charity of donor’s choice.
