Born in Shelby, he was the husband of Rebecca Lynn Wilkerson Dover and son of Rebecca Jane Curtis Dover of Blacksburg the late James Junior Dover.  Mr. Dover was employed by Stabilus, was a U. S. Marine veteran and was an avid fisherman.  He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Cowpens.

  Surviving in addition to his wife and mother is a son, Jeffery “Yank” Dover and wife, Rebecca of Cowpens; a daughter, Angelia Marie Dover and husband, Chris of Blacksburg; two brothers, Dune Dover and wife, Liz of Valporaiso, IN and Dennis Dover of Shelby, NC; a sister, Sandra Kolosci of Lake Station, IN; five grandchildren, Autum Dover, Christa Dover, Jesse Dover, Justin Dover and Jenna Dover. 

  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday, January 14, 2011 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Mountain View Baptist Church in Cowpens with Pastor Steve Griffith and Dr. Barry Goodman officiating.  Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

  The family will be at the home of Angelia & Chris Dover, 762 Old Buffalo Church Road, Blacksburg.
