James William Dover II, 26, of 906 Blacksburg Hwy, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Cherokee Medical Center in Gaffney.

Born in Gastonia, NC on June 23,1996, to Michael William Dover and Patricia Kaye Vickers Dover. James formerly worked in textiles. James loved fishing, hunting, swimming, all types of music, but he cherished the moments he got to spend with his nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Surviving Mr. Dover, is his mother Patricia Kaye Vickers of Blacksburg, and three sisters, Lisa (Joe) Stewart of York, SC, Christie Dover of Blacksburg, and Kimberly Dover of Gaffney, three brothers, Alan (Marie) Wall of Gaffney, Michael (Candice) Dover of Blacksburg, and Caleb Dover of Texas. Also surviving Mr. Dover is his extended family that he loved as his own Kelvin Sizemore, of Blacksburg, Norm Mongeau, of Gaffney and a host of nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his daughter, Addison Jade, father, grandparents, James and Shirley Dover, and sister Felicia Wall

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 30, 2023, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 W. Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC 29702. Services will follow at 3:00 pm in the chapel.

The family will be at their respective residences.
