Janet Lynn Bailey Padgett, age 57, of Bostic, NC, died Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

     Janet was born December 18, 1955 in Rutherford County, NC to the late J.L. Bailey and Carolyn Annette Roberts Bailey of Forest City.  Janet worked in textiles most of her life and was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church.  She enjoyed puzzle books, watching television and reading. She especially loved spending time with her family.

     In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Amy Nicole Padgett; one sister and by one half-brother and one half-sister.

      Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, Marcus Henry Padgett; two sons Marcus Brandon Padgett of Forest City and Jeremy Ryan Padgett of Bostic; five brothers and sisters and six half-brothers and sisters.  She is also survived four grandchildren and a longtime family friend, Noah Blackwell of Bostic.

      A graveside service will be conducted at Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery and will be announced on a later date.
