Janice Colleen Porter Lane, age 69, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Atrium Health Cleveland.

Born in Cleveland County on November 25, 1951 she was the daughter of the late Marvin H. Porter and wife Francis Robinson. Janice was a Christian woman, an excellent cook, a perfect mother, and will be remembered for the love and devotion that she held for her family and those she came in contact with.

Janice is survived by her husband of 54 years, Allen Lane, one son, Allen "Junior" Lane Jr. and wife Angie Helms Lane, two daughters Regina Ann Lane and Kimberly Dawn Lane as well as three sisters; Martha, Nancy, Phyllis, and Brenda, four grandchildren; Ryan, Trey, Brooke and Hannah and one great grandson, Chosen and her little buddy, Jean Helms; and two men whom she considered sons, Benji Benton and Keith Hawthorne.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Friday, July 2, 2021 in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Tim McCarn officiating. Burial will follow in Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
