at Hospice of Cleveland County at Wendover.  A native of Cleveland County, she was the

 daughter of the late Andrew Vaughn Gardner & Edna Mae Pendleton Gardner.  She was

 also preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald Gardner & Vaughn Gardner.  Mrs. Champion

loved her kids and grandkids and liked watching sports.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ken Champion; two sons Richard Champion

 & wife Cheryl of Clayton, NC and Jeffery Champion & wife Carolyn of Mooresboro;

a daughter Lisa Champion of Shelby; one brother, Kenneth Gardner & one sister Suzanne

Gardner; grandchildren Jessica Byrd, Emily Champion, Megan Champion and Cody Swink

and one great grandchild Brandon Byrd.

The family would like to extend their special thanks to nurse Valery Wagner and the Staff of

Hospice at Wendover.

Visitation:  The family will receive friends at Cleveland Funeral Services & Crematory

                on Thursday, April 12^th 11:00 AM – 12:00 noon

Graveside Service: A graveside service will be held at Cleveland Memorial Park on Thursday, April 12^th at noon.
