Janice Ruth Spangler Proctor, 75, of Kool Park Road NE, Hickory, passed away
Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Catawba Regional Hospice in Newton.
She was born in Cleveland County on February 21, 1939, to the late James
Thurman Spangler, Sr. and Faye Jones Spangler. She was retired from the
furniture and food service industries and was a member of Hillside Baptist
Church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Margie
Earwood and grandchild, Shannon Sisk Richard.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Nelson Murphy Proctor; two
daughters, Terry Uren and husband Jody of Soddy Daisy, TN and Sue Dale and
husband Garfield; two stepchildren, Cheryl Weeks of Polkville and Stanley
Proctor and wife Marlene of Conover; brother, J.T. Spangler, Jr. of Hickory;
eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
Graveside, 1:00 PM, Saturday, at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston. The
family will greet friends immediately following the service.
Officiating, Rev. Keith Fulbright.
