Jared Matthew Lapo
Jared Matthew Lapo age 23 died Friday June 28, 2013 as a result of a car accident. Born in Harrison County West Virginia, he was the son of Brad and Joyce Lapo. Jared was a graduate of the Brown Emergency Training Center Firefighter Academy and EMT Training. He was a community servant and gave his all to helping others. He was a member of the Boiling Springs Fire Department and the Cleveland County EMS. He was nominated as Firefighter of the Year for Boiling Springs Fire Department in 2010. His passion was firefighting and he loved the camaraderie with his Band of Brothers at the fire department and EMS. One of his favorite hobbies was music and he was a gifted guitarist. He had a great personality, if you entered a room not knowing Jared, you left the room knowing him. His quick wit, sense of humor and pranks were well known amongst his family and peers.

Jared was part of a large very close knit family. Jared is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William (Jack) Kimball.

In addition to his parents, Jared is survived by six brothers, Jordan, Caleb, Noah, Thomas, Elijah, and Jacob all of Boiling Springs; three sisters, Sarah Adams and husband Joshua of Merritt Island Florida, Abby and Hannah Lapo both of Boiling Springs; Maternal grandmother, Dot Kimball of Daytona Beach Florida; paternal grandparents, Gary and Beverly Lapo of Belleville Kansas; numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins as well as the Brothers and sisters of the Boiling Springs Fire Department and Cleveland County EMS.

Funeral service will be held on Monday July 1, 2013 at 3:00pm at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with Rev Neil Perry and Rev Dr. J. Eric Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30pm until 3:00pm before the service. Burial with Fireman’s Honors, by the Boiling Springs Fire Department and accompanied by the Cleveland County EMS, will be at Cleveland Memorial Park, following the service.
