Cherryville - Mrs. Jean Camilla Hord Hayes, 89, of 111 Harrilson Road,
passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.

Mrs. Hayes was born on December 8, 1927 in Cleveland County, NC she was the
only child born to the late J. D. Hord and Lillian Burrage Hord. She was
retired as a private in-home CNA. Mrs. Hayes was a member of Second Baptist
Church in Cherryville and was a Breast Cancer survivor for 35 years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra
Crumpton.

Survivors include three sons, Robert Wright (Veronica) of St. Pete, Florida;
Albert Wright of Cherryville and William Hayes (Cathy) of Sanford, Florida;
two daughters, Lillian Sewell (John) of Cherryville and Regina Stillwell
(William) of Fallston; fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren
and 1 great great grandchild.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Carolinas Healthcare
Systems-Cleveland and to Hospice at Wendover for the care they provided.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at
Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will greet friends following the service.

Burial will be private.
