Mrs. Sperling was preceded in death by her parents, Cole Blease Randolph and Ermma Gaddy Randolph; 1 son, Kevin Matthew Ball; and 1 brother, Roland Randolph.

She is survived by her husband, James E. Sperlng of the home; 1 son, Jeff Ball and wife Deborah of Andrews, SC; 2 step-daughters, Michelle Mason and husband Mike of Dallas, NC and Brandilyn Simmons and husband Eric of Fort Mill, SC; 3 step-sons, Brad Sperling and wife Jerrianne of Youngsville, NC, Jeremy Sperling and Thomas Sperling and wife Sandy, all of Boiling Springs, NC; 2 brothers, Dr. Richard Randolph of Belmont, NC and Steve Randolph of Gastonia, NC; 4 sisters, Mary McGinnis and Rhonda Dellinger, both of Stanley, NC, Melvene Dowell of Charlotte, NC and Evelyn Mock of Belmont, NC; 13 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
