Cherryville - Mrs. Jeana Slaughter, 77, passed away on Wednesday, November
13, 2019 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

Jeana was born on March 22, 1942 in Randolph, New York a daughter of the
late Bret Yaw and Mary McKean Yaw. She was a member of Arrowood Baptist
Church in Bessemer City.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband,
Earl Whiddon; second husband Don Slaughter; a daughter, Barbie Whitaker and
fifteen siblings.

Survivors include two sons, Bret Whiddon and Shayne Whiddon and two
daughters, Carolyn Hardage all of Cherryville and Peggy Sue Lowery of
Alabama; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers, Bret
Yaw of Florida and Ron Yaw of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Joette Winship of
New York and Jackie Kilburn of Idaho.

Visitation will be from 2:00PM to 3:00PM on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at
Arrowood Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be on Sunday, November 17, at 3:00PM at Arrowood
Baptist Church with Rev. Hinkle Rayfied and Kipp Rayfield officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.
