Jeff was born on March 10, 1983 in Rutherford County, NC to Phillip Norton and Margaret Boings Taylor.  He was a member of the Chase High School graduating class of 2002 and worked for Harmon Ice Company as a truck driver.  He loved the outdoors, and was always busy working in his garden or working on his vehicles. Jeff will be known as a man who gave his heart and soul to his friends and family.

     He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Shadrack Norton and maternal grandparents, Gilbert and Helen Boings.

     In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Tanna Norton; one son, Tyler Norton of the home; three brothers, Stacy Norton of Spindale, Eric Norton of Rutherfordton and Nathan Norton of Spindale; grandmother, Starlene Norton of Rutherfordton; half-brother, Brandon Taylor of Sunshine and a host of family and friends. 

     A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 in the Thomas Family Cemetery at Marshall, NC with Reverend Paul Nelon officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
