Jerry Alan Moore

Jerry Alan Moore, 49, 336 NC 120 Hwy, Mooresboro, NC, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at Hospice at Wendover.

He was born on September 11, 1964, in Val Verde County, TX, to the late Jerry Lane Moore and Virginia Nickelas Moore.  Alan was co-owner and operator of Country Living and Moore Family Care.  He was a member of Goode’s Grove Baptist Church and former member of Boiling Springs Rescue and Upper Cleveland Rescue Squads.  Alan loved to go hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Thomas Nickelas; paternal grandparents, Ernest and Marjorie Moore; and brother, Michael Moore.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Nina Denice Martin Moore; two brothers, Robert Moore  and wife, Lisa of Lyman, SC and Richard Moore of Florida; maternal grandmother, Virginia Nickelas of Pinellas Park, Florida; stepmother, Ruth Prince of Grover; four step-brothers, Donnie Jenkins of Kings Mountain, Ronnie Glover of Boiling Springs, Kenny Glover of Boiling Springs and Marty Glover of Grover; a very special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, J.W. and Mima Hunt of Polkville; special friends,  Betty Blanton, Threse Edwards, Sammy Elliott, Cheryl Hotchkin and Vassie Moses; and a faithful companion, Scooter Dog.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.

Funeral: 3:00 PM, Saturday at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel, Fallston.

Officiating:   Pastor Robert Hensley & Pastor L.W. Toney

Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston
