Mr. Jerry “Bob” Brittain, 69, of 201 Carmel Dr., Shelby, NC passed away Friday, October 8, 2010. Services were held at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Sunset Cemetery.
Mr. Brittain was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ann Perry Brittain; and 2 brothers, Mack and Dave Brittain.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary Alice Brittain of the home; 2 sons, Mark Brittain and wife Jeannie and Mike Brittain, all of Shelby; 3 daughters, Lisa Brittain Powell of Cherryville, Angie Stockton and husband Tommy of Lattimore, and Tracy Weaver and husband Robbie of Shelby; 3 sisters, Larue Boston of Cherryville, Fonda Rulapaugh and husband Dave of Simpsonville, SC, and Monte Leonhardt of Dallas; 4 brothers, Paul Brittain of New Jersey, Jack Brittain, and Randy Brittain and wife Betty, all of Cherryville, and Joey Brittain and wife Fonda of Waco; and 9 grandchildren.
