Born May 31, 1952 in Ward County, ND, he was a son of the late Ruben Fetzer and Ruth Ann Hintz Fetzer. He was a retired boat mechanic and was a member of Lawndale Baptist Church. He also served four years in the US Airforce.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Michael John Fetzer and one stepson, Jeremy Buff.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Ruth Brackett Fetzer, four sons and three daughters-in-law, Jeffery Jay & Bobbi Fetzer of Fargo, ND, Casey Kenneth & Jennifer Fetzer of Sioux Falls, SD, Thomas Dean & Beth Fetzer of Paducah , KY. and Travis James Fetzer of Fargo, ND, two daughters and one son-in-law, Charity Renee Fetzer of Paducah, KY and Marci Dawn & Andy Cogswell of Ft. Belvoir, VA, two stepdaughters, Jennifer Buff and Jamie & Walter Currier of Lawndale, brother, Kenneth Fetzer of Bismarck, ND, sister, Nancy Schmidt of Lincoln, ND, and sixteen grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00PM until 3:00PM at Lawndale Baptist Church.

The memorial service will be Sunday at 3:00PM at Lawndale Baptist Church with Revs. Jim Kilby and Cecil Buff officiating.

Burial will be private.
