Jerry Wayne "Doughboy" Smith, 45, of 207 Quincy Street, Kings Mountain, died
Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Kings Mountain Hospice House in Kings
Mountain.
Born July 23, 1966 in Spartanburg County, he was a son of Patricia Jarman
Smith of Shelby and the late Henry Smith. He was a sheetrock hanger for
Smith Drywall and was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church-Kingston.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his half sister,
Adrian Smith.
Survivors: his wife, Beverly Houser Smith; daughter, Jennifer Smith of Kings
Mountain; two step children, Latashia of Bessemer City and Kee of Gastonia;
two grandchildren, Savannah Smith and Vinny; two brothers, Gene Smith of
Forest City and Jimmy Smith of Kings Mountain; and sister, Karen Murray of
Kings Mountain.
Visitation: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.
Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Sunday, Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Kingston.
The body will be placed in the church thirty mintues before the service.
Officiating: Rev. Dennis Harmon, Rev. Alice Marie Irvin.
Burial: Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, Kingston
