Jesse Fay Wellmon, 86, of Vale, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

Born on November 4, 1938, he was the son of the late Worth Wellmon and Lectie Edmonson.

Jesse is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Melody Wellmon; his children: Tim Wellmon (Lori), Eddie Wellmon, Debbie Holmes (Walter), Jimmy Wellmon, Candi Bumgardner (Matt), Jessica White (Rick), Ashley Parker (Dave), and Brian Parker (Stacy); his grandchildren: Chris, Keith, Allison, Zach, Kayla, Jada, Justin, Clint, Ethan, Cole, Emily, and Madison; his great-grandchildren: C.J., Logan, Scottlynn, Wilder, and Wyatt; and his beloved fur baby, Audi.

In addition to his parents, Jesse was preceded in death by his grand-children: Lindsay, and Jacob; and his great-grandchild: Scarlett.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Victory Life Church, 1495 North Aspen Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092. The service will be officiated by Tommy Scronce.
