MOORESBORO - Jesse Willard Harris, 83, of McCraw Road, Mooresboro, died on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Hospice of Cleveland County at Wendover. A native of Rutherford County, he was born on January 26, 1932, a son of the late James Willard Harris and Pearl Octavia Fox Harris. He was retired from Duke Power and was a member of Camps Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Harris was also a member of the Cliffside Masonic Lodge #460 AF&AM and was an avid NASCAR fan.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mozelle Holt Harris, and his brothers and sisters, Hazel Barnes, Homer Harris, Mozelle Hardin, Author Harris, Viola Jones and Ethel Hamrick. He is survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00pm on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Camps Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Buddy Morehead officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary. Burial will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Cleveland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28152.
