Jessie Paull Blanton, 81, of Self St., died Nov. 11, 2013 at his residence. He was born on Nov. 11, 1932 in Rutherford Co. a son of the late Onnie And Blanche Ramsey Blanton. Mr. Blanton was a dairy farmer having worked for Danny Carpenter and Paul Grigg farms.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Mary Elizabeth Wall Blanton in 2007 and several brothers and sisters’
Survivors include his children Sylvia Ann Blanton Smith(Danny) of Lincolnton, Cynthia Sue Blanton of Lincolnton, Jessie Blanton, Jr. of Shelby, and Robert Blanton of Lincolnton, seventeen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM at Carpenter’s Funeral and Cremation Services with Pastor Leon Davis officiating with burial in city Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the funeral home from 6-8 PM.
