Jimmy Swink

SHELBY- Jimmy Swink, 74, passed away Sun., Aug. 21, 2016, at Peak Resources of Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Julius Lester and Addie Cook Swink. He was a former member of Second Baptist Church, where he gave his life to the Lord. While a member at Second Baptist, he served as an R.A. leader, a deacon, and in the bus ministry. In 1993, he and his wife, Patsy joined Faith Baptist Church. Jimmy retied from Fiber/Kosa after 31 years of service. He was a scout master for troop 105 at Lafayette Street U.M.C, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Jerry Huffman; and brother, Paul Swink.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Patsy Dayberry Swink, of the home; sons, Mark Steven Swink and wife Jennifer Leiser Swink of Boiling Springs, and Brian Patrick Swink and wife Brandy Blanton Swink of Cherryville; sister, Ruby Dills and husband David of Shelby; grandchildren, Paige Anthony, Macenzie Swink, Cody Swink, and Gabrielle Swink.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 2pm, Wednesday, at Faith Baptist Church

VISITATION: The family will receive friends 12:30-2pm, Wednesday, at the church

BURIAL: will follow in Sunset Cemetery

CLERGY: Dr. J. Barry Goodman and Rev. Johnny Owens will officiate
