Joann Bumgardner Magee age 77 died Wednesday March 19, 2014 at Hospice Cleveland County. Born in Cleveland County on June 17 1936 she was the daughter of the late William Flowers and Lela Beam Bumgardner. She retired from VIP Incentives in Kings Mountain.  She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Joann enjoyed cooking, canning and being with her family. In addition to her parents, Joann is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Neal Magee, two daughters, Susan Magee Guffey and Joanna Magee Guthrie; and two  brothers, Charlie Bumgardner and Frank Bumgardner.

Joann is survived by two sons, Michael Neal Magee and wife Kathy of Shelby, and Patrick Lee Magee and wife Teresa of Acworth Ga.; a sister, Nancy “Diny” Olson of West Bend WI; a sister-in-law, Becky Lee Bumgardner of Shelby; eight grandchildren, Kelly Guffey Reynolds and husband Chad, Kim Guffey Gettys and husband  Chris, Michael Neal Magee Jr. and wife Emily, Christopher Ryan Magee, Justin Guthrie, Jeremy Guthrie, Tristyn  Paige Magee, and Kiara Elise Magee;  and six great grandchildren,  Reese Gettys, Kelsey Guthrie, Tenley Gettys, Jackson Magee, Caitlynn Reynolds, and Carsyn Reynolds.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March  22,  2014 at 3:00pm at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. Tim Sims officiating.  The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 2:00pm until 3:00pm.
