| Joe Dean Hardin, Sr., 79, 100 Fairfield Drive, Apt. 5A, Gaffney, SC, died July 19, 2012, at home. Born in Cherokee County, SC, he is the husband of Eva Bonnie Ruppe Hardin of the home and a son of the late Ben and Edna Mae Martin Hardin. He was a veteran of the United States Army, was retired from the textile industry, and was a member of Mt. Whitaker Baptist Church, Blacksburg, SC.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife, Bonnie, are sons - Joe Dean Hardin, Jr. of Clover, SC; Bobby Lemmons of Gaffney, SC; Wade Lemmons and Jackie Lemmons both of Maiden, NC; daughters - Barbara Blackwell and Susie Mullinax both of Gaffney, SC; Elaine Berry of Spartanburg, SC; Karen Cook, Cheryl Parson and Kimberly Evans all of Pacolet, SC; brother - Jerry Wayne Hardin of Blacksburg, SC; sisters - Dianne Hardin and Jeannie Peterson both of Blacksburg, SC; 26 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters - Joyce Ann Bullocks and Sandra Mae Martin.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, July 22, 2012, 2:00 PM, graveside, at Clingman Memorial Gardens, Blacksburg, SC, with Dr. Timothy "Bo" Waldrop officiating. The family will receive friends at the home.
