Chesnee -- Joey Jay Leopard, 48, of 273 Sandclay Road, passed away Thursday, July 23rd, 2015, at his residence.

Born in Gastonia, NC, he was the widower of Susan Black Leopard and the son of the late Edward Leopard and Ella Mae Holmes Gregory. Mr. Leopard worked in the textile industry and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Mr. Leopard is survived by three sons, Adam Leopard of Blacksburg, Eli Leopard of Gaffney, and Jay Leopard of Spartanburg; two brothers, Steve Leopard of Blacksburg and Eddie Leopard, Jr. of Gaffney; and 2 grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, George Gregory, one sister, Theresa Gutherie, and one brother, Tony Leopard.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 5th, 2015, from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary 400 West Cherokee Street Blacksburg, SC 29702. Memorial services will immediately follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Eric Sellers officiating. Interment will be private.
