Cherryville – Mr. John Banks McCall, Jr., 74, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at his home.
John was born on March 9, 1938 in Gaston County, a son of the late John Banks McCall, Sr. and Maude Pressley McCall. He was a graduate of Central High School class of 1957 in Charlotte and a member of the National Rifle Association. John served his country in the US Army 101st Airborne.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Chris Campbell McCall of the home; a son Trey McCall of Cherryville and his mother-in-law, Vergie Campbell of Cherryville.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 12:45 to 1:45pm at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home. At other times the family will be at the home of his son Trey McCall.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 2:00pm at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be Private.
