A native of Hall County, Georgia, Mr. Black was the son of the late Daniel Black & Clara Ivey Black and was also
preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters. He had worked in textiles as a loom fixer and also as a
meat cutter. He served in the National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Ramsey Black and son, Ricky Black of the home; one daughter, Brenda
Swafford of Gaffney, SC; brother, Roy Black of Shelby; sister, Irene Ledford of Boiling Springs; four
grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Mt. Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Rutherford County on Monday,
June 4th at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will follow the graveside service.
