John D. Hastings, Jr., 58, of 5993 Old NC 18, Connelly Springs, died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Grace Hospital in Morganton.
Born May 7, 1954 in Cleveland County he was a son of John D. Hastings, Sr. and the late Betty Jean Towery Hastings. He was a truck driver.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Joe Hastings Pruett and grandparents, Guy and Lillian Hastings and Marlin and Vangie Lou Towery.
In addition to his father John is survived by his wife, Betty Jean McGee Hastings; son, John Mark Hastings of Lawndale; four stepsons, Edward, Lawrence and Jason McGee all of Connelly Springs and Lee McGee and wife, Amy of Morganton; nephew, Robert Randall of Polkville; and grandchildren, Kayla, Levi, Haley, Cole, Steven, Kayla, Madison, Dixie, Amber and William.
Visitation: 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Friday, Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.
Funeral Service: 3:00 PM, Friday, Stamey Funeral Home Chapel, Fallston
Burial: Clover Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, Casar
