John Daniel "Danny" Martin, age 69, formerly of Belmont, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Brian Center of Salisbury. He was born on December 2, 1946 in Clay County to the late John William and Lottie Faye Mashburn Martin. He was formerly employed in the construction business and was a truck driver. Danny was always a hard worker and enjoyed life.

Survivors include his children, Chris Martin (Wendy) of Concord and Heather Martin (Jordan Sellers) of Cherryville; grandsons, Justin Corl and Zach Martin; great granddaughter, Zailynn Corl; brother, Kenneth Martin; sisters, Rita Roach, Ellen Goff, Maryland Hall, Ginger McClure, Faye Sandburg, and Sharon McGaha; and numerous nieces and nephews.

"Sharing of memories will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at 2:00 at Heather and Jordan's house, 7202 Dallas Cherryville Hwy with a gathering of friends and family immediately following until 6:00 PM."
