| Mr. John “Frank” Black, 94, of Kings Mountain passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2012. A Celebration Of Life Service was held at Beaver Dam Baptist Church. A private burial was held.
Mr. Black was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Lucille Burch Black; his parents, Robert C. and Beuna P. Black; an infant son, Samuel Black; two brothers, Walter and Cullen Black; a sister, Betty Randall and an infant great-granddaughter and grandson.
He is survived by two sons and their spouses, Don Black and Bev, of Matthews, NC; John and Ellie Black, of Shelby, NC; and a daughter and son-in-law, Sylvia and Roger Hawkins of Shelby, NC; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Beaver Dam Baptist Church Men on Missions or to the Bus, or to Kings Mtn. Hospice House.
