Cherryville - Mr. John H. Green, Jr., 66, of 1245 Cherryville Hwy., passed
away on Saturday, January 10, 2015.

John was born in Gaston County, NC on September 13, 1948 a son of the late
John H. Green, Sr. and Clara Morrison Green. He was retired from Rutherford
Electric as a groundman and also retired from NAPA Auto Parts as a delivery
man. John was an avid camper and for over 30 years camped at Brown Mountain
on Wilson Creek and over the last couple of years moved his camper to Scenic
Ridge Campground in Cherryville. John served our country in the U.S. Army
during Vietnam.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Ray
Green, Sr.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Kathleen Buff Green, of the home; a
son and daughter-in-law, Danny Green and Shannon; two daughters and a
son-in-law, Sherry Green Lamacchia all of Cherryville and Laura Green Martin
and Joe of Maiden; two sisters, Ann Craft of Cherryville and Margaret
Johnson of Lincolnton and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 13, 2014 from 4:30PM to 6:30PM at
Anthony Grove Baptist Church and at other times the family will be at the
home of a sister, Ann Craft, 1432 Tot Dellinger Road Cherryville.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 7:00PM at
Anthony Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Dennis Bean and Rev. Ken Faulkenbury
officiating. Military Rites will be provided by Cherryville American Legion
Post 100.

Burial will be Private.
