John “Hardin”Lee Jr.
 Mr. John “Hardin”Lee Jr., passed away from this life on Saturday, May 21, 2011. A native of Rutherford County, he grew up in Polkville, son, of the late J. Hardin Sr. and Gladys Martin Lee. He was a graduate of Polkville High School, Brevard College, and attended Appalachian State University. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. John was the former president of the Federal land Bank Association of Shelby and following mergers, Executive Vice President of Piedmont Farm Credit, until retirement after 25 years of service. John was a member and past Master of Camp Call Masonic Lodge, American Legion, life long member of Amvets, and a former Shriner and Rotarian.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Pat Lunelle Patterson Lee and brother Arch Martin Lee.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his two sons, John Hardin Lee III of Salisbury and Louie “Kevin” Lee of the home; granddaughters, Deidre Lynn Hinkle of Raleigh and Joanna Louise Besswanger of Morganton; and three great grandchildren.

GRAVESIDE: Thursday, 10am, Polkville United Methodist Church Cemetery.  

VISITATION: The family will receive friends, Wednesday, 6-7:30, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.

CLERGY: Rev. Hayward Morrison will be officiating.
