Mr. John Wesley “Biddie” Crosby, 88, departed this life on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at N.C. State Veterans Nursing Home in Fayetteville, North Carolina.  He was born to Claude Green and Alberta Crosby on November 18, 1924 in Shelby, North Carolina.

Our loved one was a graduate of Cleveland High School and attended Shaw University.  He was a veteran in the United States Army serving from 1943 to 1945.

John was married to the late Georgia Chison and to this union was born three girls and one boy.  He retired from the Social Security Administration.

John was preceded in death by his mother, father, wife, sister, brother and one son. 

His survivors include three children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 2:00 PM at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel with Pastor Star Wright officiating.  Burial will take place at Cleveland Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:00 PM.  Condolences can be expressed online at www.enloes.net.  Enloe Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
