Shelby -- Joseph Luther Gunn, 48, of Shelby, passed away, Tuesday, April 28th, 2015, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.

Born in Georgia, he was the husband of Laura Gunn and the son of the late Clifford Gunn and Diane Anderson. Mr. Gunn worked in construction.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Gunn is survived by two sons, Joseph Luther Gunn II and Dylan Michael Gunn, both of Shelby; a daughter, Alaina Michelle Gunn, of Shelby; a brother, Gurney Douglas Gunn, of Kings Mountain; and two sisters, Candy Hindman of Rock Hill and Elaine Strickland of Bessemer City, NC.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Gunn was preceded in death by a brother, Cook Canipe.

A memorial service for Mr. Gunn will be held Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel.
