Joyce Elliott Niedenthal

Joyce Elliott Niedenthal passed away on August 19, 2016 and was born in Bellevue, Kentucky, on December 26, 1926. She moved with her parents, Clarence Brady Suter and Marguerite Elliott Suter, to Fort Thomas, Kentucky. She lived there for twenty years, attending Fort Thomas High School where her father taught science. While attending the University of Cincinnati she met her husband, Richard Francis Niedenthal. They moved to his home place of Brookville, Indiana, where they lived for seven years until moving to Broward County, Florida. She spent thirty-one years moving through the educational system finalizing her career as County Curriculum Supervisor for Home Economics. Retirement took them to Kissimmee, Florida, and finally to Shelby, North Carolina, where they lived at 152 Columns Circle. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard and her daughter, Jody Elliott Niedenthal. She is survived by her son William Jeffrey Niedenthal and his wife Sonia Liedman, her daughter-in-law Susan Niedenthal, four grandchildren, Stacie DeVaughn, Tara Adams, Ashley Goeger, and Alexis Niedenthal, and six great grandchildren, Stefan, Walker and Liam DeVaughn, Lauren Adams, and Trey and Evie Goerger. Her ashes will be buried at Rock Hill Cemetery, Rock Hill, Ohio.

A memorial service will be held at Central United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 12:00pm.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations are made to the Central United Methodist Church.
